  • Description: Maurice Marinot was primarily a glassblower fomr 19911-1937. His collection of glass works was donated to the Museum of Modern art in Troyes. This academic drawing dates back to his early 20s when he studied at the Beaux Arts during the Fauvre period of 1905-1910. In 1917 he went to Morocco. During WW2 his home was bombed and all his paintings and glass creations except some early works were lost. He never revcovered from the loss and did not blow glass again. Luckily, he was persuaded to paint again which he did until his accidental death in 1960.
