Sam Thorp

Sam Thorp is classically trained in drawing and anatomy, and concentrates on creating work that emphasizes the strength and sensuality of the human form. The work strives to surpass conventional standards of beauty and body types and instead seeks out the beauty and energy of the individual contained within skin and bones. Each piece is original and authentic with it’s arabesque line.

Sam’s studio is located in Brackenridge, and has had numerous exhibitions across Pittsburgh; including the  Warhol Museum, and Carnegie Museum of Art. Sam’s work has been shown in New York City , Los Angeles, & Detroit’s cPOP Gallery, and is collected across the United States, UK, France, Australia, and the Netherlands.
